The FLU Flip Unit flips an incoming PCB upside down (180°) and exports the PCB at the opposite side. By installing a pneumatic stopper (optional), the user can choose to flip the PCB upside down or let the PCB pass without flipping it. If no pneumatic stopper is installed, a stopper bracket will be fitted to each of the transport rails to prevent the PCB from slipping through during the flipping movement. The transport section in the FLU Flip Unit consists of two mirrored belt transports that are superimposed. This way, the PCB can enter the FLU Flip Unit on the bottom belt transport and leave the flip unit on the top belt transport which --after flipping-- has become the new bottom belt transport. The flipping action is performed by a pneumatic rotary actuator. The axis of rotation is perpendicular to the transport direction. As an option, the FLU Flip Unit can be equipped with an automatic width-adjustment module that automatically adjusts the position of the rear transport rail to the width of the PCB.
