IPTE FA announces positive business results

- Order inflow and revenues over plan, Workforce increased again

IPTE Factory Automation (FA) NV is again on course for success after the separation and management buyout from IPTE NV in March 2010. The projected revenues of 65 million euros will be exceeded by about 10% for the 2011 financial year (date of announcement October 31, 2011). The workforce has also considerably increased to 500 in the meantime, and the enterprise management expects positive business results for the year-end.

A good deal of this business success comes from IPTE Germany GmbH, located in the Heroldsberg/Nuremberg area, which serves the local sales and support areas of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The GmbH already managed to exceed the antic-ipated incoming orders in October 2011. For the full year the company looks forward to an order inflow to a total value of 37 million euros. As there were just 25 million in the year before this results in an upsurge of about 50%. This successful business course is also being mirrored by a significant increase in staff which is now again 100 people, the same as employed in the past before the global economy crisis of 2008 took place.

In the recently opened Fixture House at the company’s site in Heroldsberg, special bed-of-nails adapters are being precisely manufactured for a complete range of rele-vant applications such as in-circuit test, functional test, flash programming, as well as end-of-line product test complying with the highest quality requirements in the industry. The Fixture House currently employs a staff of twelve. In addition, a new IPTE Service Center has been opened in Brazil in order to deliver instant, top-quality customer support.

In the product field of routers, a strong and highly recognized part of the company’s equipment portfolio, a uniform software platform has been developed for all models and has been implemented successfully now. Besides this, the next generation of depaneler systems is being engineered and will be brought to the market in the fore-seeable future.

As Hubert Baren, CEO of IPTE FA, says, “Due to the very positive business in Ger-many we have come close to full capacity in production and engineering. And this advantageous fact has considerably helped us to take the fast lane to success after the management buyout the year before. We expect an excellent order inflow comparable to 2011 for the upcoming year of 2012, and therefore we are looking to the future pretty optimistically.”

Die IPTE Factory Automation (FA) NV bleibt nach der Ausgliederung zum 1. März 2010 auf Erfolgskurs. Für das Geschäftsjahr 2011 wird der geplante Umsatz von 65 Millionen Euro um 10 Prozent überschritten (Stand 31.10.2011). Die Mitarbeiterzahl ist auf inzwischen 500 Personen erhöht. Das Unternehmen erwartet aktuell zum Jahresende ein positives Betriebsergebnis.

Besonderen Anteil am Geschäftserfolg steuert die IPTE Germany GmbH, Herolds-berg, bei, die für die Vertriebsgebiete Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz verant-wortlich zeichnet. Hier konnte der budgetierte Auftragseingang für 2011 bereits im Oktober übertroffen werden. Für das Gesamtjahr 2011 wird mit einem Auftragsein-gangsvolumen von 37 Millionen Euro gerechnet. Nach 25 Millionen Euro im Vorjahr entspricht dies einer Steigerung von knapp 50 Prozent. Der erfolgreiche Geschäfts-verlauf spiegelt sich auch in der Mitarbeiterzahl wider: Die Belegschaft in Herolds-berg wurde von 75 auf 100 Mitarbeiter erhöht.

Im vor kurzem eröffneten Fixture House in Heroldsberg werden nach höchsten Qualitätsmaßstäben Nadelbetten für In-Circuit-Test, Funktionstest, Flasher und End-of-Line-Test produziert. Aktuell arbeiten zwölf Mitarbeiter im Fixture House. Zudem wurde in Brasilien ein neues IPTE Service Center eröffnet, das ein über Jahre existierendes Service-Defizit in Südamerika ausgleicht.

Im Bereich der Nutzentrenner konnte eine einheitliche Software-Plattform für alle IPTE Nutzentrenner-Modelle entwickelt und erfolgreich implementiert werden. Dar-über hinaus befindet sich eine neue Nutzentrenner-Generation in Entwicklung.

„Der positive Geschäftsverlauf in Deutschland hat für eine sehr gute Auslastung gesorgt. Dadurch konnten wir mit der neuen Konstellation nach der Trennung der ursprünglichen IPTE Geschäftsbereiche gut durchstarten. Für 2012 erwarten wir eine Auftragslage auf dem Niveau von 2011 und blicken entsprechend zuversichtlich in die Zukunft“, erklärt Hubert Baren, Geschäftsführer der IPTE FA.
